Regarding locked camera, it took me about a 2 weeks to feel like I understood the system and find a comfortable scroll speed, 6 weeks to feel like it was equal performance to locked camera, 3 months to make it into an actual advantage. 100% worth it, I would still be bronze if I stayed on locked

  5. Just doing some math. Rockets full damage if you just had d cap alone you are getting about 814 damage. If you go collector you are missing out on 304 damage alone. When you add in runes+other AP items (liandrys, zhonyas and rylais) you are missing out on 425 damage without dcap if you go collector instead. And this is just the one ability.

    Tldr
    1411 damage with d cap 4th
    952 damage with collector 4th
