If there’s one thing to say about Bandai Namco’s upcoming JRPG Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom is that it’s absolutely stunning. Its vivid colors and top cel-shaded graphics are its trademark but how good exactly they are on PC?
Regarding Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom’s graphics, developer Level-5 has done a great job. Even though that in-game options aren’t that detailed, there’s 4k resolution and HDR support just as we’d like. Your monitor will have to support both features, however, you can even support 4K on a 1080p monitor if your hardware is up to it. As for the framerates, you can cap them at 60FPS for a solid experience or uncap it and let the graphics shine.
Apart from resolution and FPS settings, there’s no more overly interesting ones you should pay attention too. There’s Quality. Anti-Aliasing, Motion Blur and Depth of Field sliders as in almost any game which, however, make little difference.
Messing with the sliders, you’ll find out that there are so little differences when it comes to high and low graphics and most of them are experienced in the background. According to screenshots provided by PC Gamer, you’ll find out that characters stay the same in both settings while lightning and environmental details change a bit to match your system’s capabilities.
