Ravenii is your main enemy and you need to sever off their head in order to kill them. In order to take out the Ravenii, you need to build up your Rune Strike Meter that requires you doing an assortment of different things such as killing smaller grunts, breaking the armor of Ravenii and rescuing civilians.
A basic Ravenii has only basic armor so you can easily take out their armor and charge up your meter. Try to take out the Club Arm as it can be quite deadly.
For the more advanced Ravenii, you will need to do different things such as break the locks on their Armor Piece before cracking them to get the meter full. After that, the process is the same as you can slash off their neck and protect your people.
Combat Tips and Tricks
You need to use your Grapple Whip as much as you can. Try to get onto higher surfaces so that you can attack the armor and break it to fill up your meter. If the Ravenii is wearing Gold Armor, then the grapple is even more important as that armor is invulnerable to other Rune Abilities.
If you manage to overcharge your Rune Energy, then you can perform an attack with extra damage. The Ravenii who have an Iron Armor need to be hit by many overcharged attacks so remember to use that mechanic as much as you can in order to make short work of the Ravenii.
Rune slowdown is another mechanic that can be used to your advantage. In fact, it may well be the most important mechanic that there is. It will allow you to freeze time and attack Ravenii.
When fighting against Bone Armored Ogres, you may have to go around their flaming skulls and try to use the Ravenii’s attack against the ogres. In any case, freezing time will allow you to deal damage how you want to, where you want to so try to use this mechanic at the right time.
You can also fly through the air to be more effective against giants. This mechanic works really well against Spiked Armored opponents as you can avoid the spikes and deal damage without having to land on their armor.
This combined with the Lightfoot Ability will allow you to move both horizontally and vertically. This will allow you fight against monsters much bigger than you and deal damage to them by using the environment.
